Education, Training, and Remediation at Olivia's House

State Vocational Rehabilitation counselors come to Olivia’s House as scheduled to assess client needs for educational/vocational services. Clients qualifying for educational and/or vocational benefits will begin participation in the appropriate level of training.

In addition, clients will be able to study for their GED, through the Adult Learning Center and the Alabama Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Clients will also be eligible to participate in the JOBS Program through the Department of Human Resources. Training and educational assistance will be available through the Birmingham Urban League and the Birmingham Job Training Assistance Program (JPTA).
